Better yet, create a Kurly Kichana group on http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups

So that you don't have to manage stats by email.

I'll be the first to join!

We have since launched the group which you an find here,
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/2536-kurly-kichana-2012-abs-challenge.

Through myfitnesspal, you can log in how many calories you have eaten, log in your measurements and track progress and through the group we can chat on recipes, struggles and victories!
We are both logged on with our names, so please make sure to add us as friends and join the group. For inspiration, please do not forget to check out our tumblr page http://kurlsontherun.tumblr.com/

Happy Thursday!

Just thought I'd let you know that eating processed meat e.g. sausages(appeared on the food diary) can increase the risk of getting pancreatic cancer. It's a fairly rare cancer but one of the articles I recently read recommends reducing how much processed meat we eat since it generally contains more preservatives and more fat. Instead, opt for lean cuts of meat e.g. beef (contains zinc)

@MissAnon! Thanks for the information, I will have you know that we do not eat processed meat regularly and that in fact this is one of the first times I have eaten sausages in almost 2 months, I think a sausage or two every few months would not make us get cancer, I am more scared of buying greens in Nairobi not knowing where they are coming from or if they have been in contact with lead and mercury! And yes I do go for lean cuts of meat if I really have to!
Again, Thanks for the concern and great article

Wonderful idea inviting people to support each other on the abs (and fitness) challenge and journey. Quick question, did you notice that myfitnesspal does not have an option for Kenya? Does it grate on you when things like that happen (countries being left out of stuff like that)? Anyway, how did you go around the whole 'select country' thing?

OH MY!! How upset was I when I saw that, yaani they can have Afghanistan but not Kenya...Shame on them. As I quickly write this and send myfitnesspal admins an email and complain. I just inserted Nairobi as the City. Will get back to you if they reply :-)

I just got that link off Alice's site and thought it might be a nice starting point for some: (http://aliceinnappyland.blogspot.com/2012/01/online-workoutsresources.html)

So glad that we can do this as a team and maybe we can to the Standchart marathon or the Mater heart run as a huge nappy hair team!! GO TEAM!!
I have decided that i will join a gym and get tips on a routine and when i get going (it is so hard to start yes?) i can maintain it.
Thanks for the tip on taking before and after pictures, talk about motivation.
All the best to everyone.
