Protective Styling a Go!! Mary and I are still on our challenge. I am really enjoying my braids although with them being bigger they are getting fuzzy real quick..although I did wash them pretty soon. I decided to show you guys what they are looking like at 3 weeks in. I am wearing a lipstick that I would love to recommend to you guys...its Sleek Creme Lipstick in Cherry Brandy. You can find it at Uchumi Sarit and also in most major cosmetics shops.

Cam whoring for you folks
I have been moisturising as usual and co washing every weekend, although this past weekend I had to shampoo.
How is your protective styling going? I am thinking of removing this braids this weekend.
Hump Day Hurray!!

lol I love the Kenyan idea of 'fuzzy'. I used to be that girl too taking out my braids after 1 month. Fast forward 10 years later and I'm extension free and quite happy to wear own-hair braids for 2 months (no joke!). My hair is truly fuzzy especially when I'm being good and swimming regularly. Yours is far from the defination of fuzz!

@Chilli Mango..Enjoy the hair out...Rock thats Fro
@Nuerki...Good on you..send us some pics pwease...thank you
@JC...Hahahaha You have made me smile...I know once the 4 week mark comes around..the braids are ready to be taken out. Doesn't your hair tangle after wearing it for 2 months..

The braids are not fuzzy at all! I'd do another month! But then again, you can take them down and have a new set done at a reasonable price.
I was also a one-month-braid girl but things change when you style your own hair or pay a lot to get it done.

My hair is fine with braids for 2 months. I do redo the back line after 3-4 weeks because it is more sensitive to matting. However the rest has no issue. I think the back is a case of rubbing on clothes and getting lint stuck in the hair.

Twists are a different issue, my hair starts to lock after 2-3 weeks. I mean lock! However Loo (healthy hair and body) seems to be able to keep hers for two months with redoing the perimeter.

@ S There is no way these braids are staying on my head for another month...They need to be out...my hair is very fine and loosens very quickly and the bottom is slowly loosening
@JC Yeah that must be it...rubbing on clothes makes it matt a little. I am the same with twists....they lock so quickly as well. I Know Loo's twists are amazing..she keeps them in for so long with no locking...
