So I have been desperately trying to get motivation to work on my fitness (you know how hard it is girlies). I am hoping to run the Lewa Marathon in June and the Standard Chartered Half Marathon in October...this requires frequent running and loads and loads of cardio work. We were able to run the 10K last year but the novelty of running has now worn off..What next?
I have tried running in the morning at 6am this was good the first day, but getting up the 2nd day was quite the challenge. Running in the evening is ideal but I get home, change into my dira (somali dress) then hang out.I love running and really got into it when training for the run, I absolutely adore how I feel after a run..its just the up and getting out of the house that is proving to be difficult.
Since I was running last year, I managed to lose a few kilograms but I can slowly feel them creeping back on...Scary stuff! My body is the kind to gain weight on the tummy area and thighs....I would say that my body double (except taller and prettier) is Angela Simmons. My thighs have always had a close relationship read, Thunder Thighs
I really want to get fit for the marathon and also lose a few kilos..make it to 60kgs. Any ideas how to get motivated, what helps you get up and go to the gym, running, walking? Please share because I am at my wits end.
